Show Cattle - Mr Harry Emslie kindly made the long journey south from Peterhead in Aberdeenshire and was greeted by a wonderful show of both quality and quantity, thankfully Mr Emslie's wealth of experience and knowledge made him the right man for the job. The tri coloured sash was awarded to first time winner here A C Bentham, Fletcher Hill Farm, Cockfield with a fabulous February born black Limousin Steer. No doubting the potential of this Lodge Hamlet son he is the first calf from pedigree British Blue heifer acquired from the Topside herd she herself was sired by Boherard Cantona. The reserve champion came from another new face to our winners enclosure Mr M J Marley of Holywell Farm, Northallerton with a tremendous shapely February born Limousin Heifer, our judge backed himself in the post show sale ring securing both his Champion and Reserve.
