Show Cattle - The mornings classes were judged by William Tindale of Paradise Farm, Shadforth who selected a pair of beast from the same home as his Champion and Reserve; both cattle came from G C & K J White & Son, Rigg Farm, Lunedale, Middleton-in-Teesdale. Awarded the tri-coloured rosette was the winning heifer a 13 month old British Blue whilst the steer of the same breeding and age collected the reserve, the judge is certainly a heifer man as the consensus all around ringside was the steer should perhaps have taken the honours; let your eye be the judge and your pocket be your guide as the steer sold for £1220 and the heifer £1120 both purchased by M Robinson & Sons, East Alwent, Staindrop.
